NFL Lockout Comes To An End
Tuesday, July 26th, 2011The NFL Lockout has finally come to an end. On Monday, the eighteen week lockout was put to rest. This was the first time in 24 years that there had been a work stoppage in the NFL. A new deal was created, and there is no possibility of renegotiation for the next ten years. The new negotiations allow owners to receive 53% of revenue and players to receive 47% of revenues, while the original deal was to allow a more 50-50 agreement.
Today, free agents and 2011 draft picks will be signed. Wednesday, training camps will start for ten teams, such as the New England Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys. The remaining twenty two teams will start training on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.
The highly anticipated start of NFL Season has finally begun!
