The San Diego Chargers selected LaDainian Tomlinson in the first round of the 2001 NFL Draft, as the fifth overall pick. LaDainian immediately became the starting running back with the Chargers and has started all but one game since. He has achieved immediate success in the NFL, rushing for over 1,200 yards and making over 50 receptions in each of his six seasons. He has also proven to be an effective passer, having completed seven career passes, six of them for touchdowns and a career passer rating of 152.1. Tomlinson, frequently called "LT", set several records during 2006 by scoring a league-leading 31 touchdowns and 186 points. He received additional honors by winning the NFL's Most Valuable Player Award and the Associated Press' Offensive Player of the Year Award. He currently holds the following NFL records set for a single season; touchdowns (31); rushing touchdowns (28); most points scored (186); most consecutive games with a rushing touchdown (18): most consecutive multi-touchdown games (8) He is tied for third place for most career 200-yard rushing games (4) and he became the first player to rush for 9,000 yards in his first 6 NFL seasons on December 24th, 2006. He became the first and only player in NFL history to rush for 1000 yards and receive 100 passes in a single season. The 8x10 photo is personally hand signed by LaDainian.
